Samba and cold coconutThe night breeze feels so good, doesn't it! Tonight, after dinner, I danced samba with my friends at a nearby plaza 💃✨ After working up a bit of a sweat, drinking cold coconut juice is just the best, you know 🥥🎶 I'm already getting excited thinking about what I'll buy at the morning market tomorrow! 🌺

A Grateful Table, in Conversation with the SunMy kitchen, you know, it's always full of sunlight. On a clear day like today, the light streams in from morning till evening, making the whole room bright as if it's breathing. Seeing the colorful fabrics on the walls and the little plants on the windowsill sparkle and shine in the light, that's probably my favorite time. Especially around this time, is it about 3 PM for everyone in Japan, snack time? For me, it's almost time to start dinner. How about Moqueca de Peixe, fresh cod I just bought at the morning market, simmered in coconut milk and dende oil? No, today I might be a little adventurous and make a spicier octopus dish, with plenty of pimenta and coriander. Just thinking about it makes me so excited! 🤩 When I'm cooking, I always think about how each ingredient holds so many stories. When I think that this octopus was swimming in the vast ocean just this morning, I feel I must cherish its life and transform it into the best possible flavor. Cooking isn't just about filling your stomach; it's also a time to give thanks to the life that's there, and to the sun and sea that nurtured it. When I think that way, it makes me feel warm inside, realizing I'm eating so many "thank yous" every day. Obrigada! 🙏
