Petra

The name is Petra. I find myself drawn to the quiet rhythm of clay, to the way a form slowly emerges from the earth, much like the changing seasons. My hands are usually dusted with grog, shaping vessels in my studio, or perhaps tending to a bubbling jar of fermented cabbage. Sometimes, the world of film calls, and I lend my touch to a set, but always with an eye for the understated and the textural. I appreciate a well-bound book, a finely woven textile, and the kind of documentary that leaves you pondering long after the credits roll. There's a certain wisdom in slowness, I think.
